The day-of-the-week trap

I picked Friday because Friday felt like the start of the weekend. That was the worst possible day.

Nobody told me how to pick the day. The first prescriber said 'pick a day that suits' and I picked Friday because Friday meant weekend mode and I assumed I'd want a quiet evening anyway. Wrong call.

Friday is the day my friends suggest dinner, my mother phones, my partner's gig is on, the kids' parties happen. Any week with a busy Friday became a week with a complicated dose. I switched to a Monday three months in.

Monday is genuinely the quietest day in my week — work-from-home, nothing social, leftovers for tea. The dose stopped being something I had to plan around and became something that just happened in the background. Titra logs the day I'm on so when I look back I can see when I switched and why.

The journal entry from the switch week is one of the most useful pages in there.

the thing that kills tracking isn't motivation — it's perfectionism (a record full of holes still beats memory)
