Terms of Service

By using Sibliny, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Service Description

Sibliny is a family care coordination tool that helps family members organize care tasks, medication reminders, appointments, expenses, and communication for a loved one. Sibliny is designed for personal, non-commercial use by family caregivers.

2. Not Medical Advice

Sibliny is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Sibliny is NOT a healthcare provider and is NOT regulated by the FDA. Any information provided through Sibliny is for informational and organizational purposes only.

Always consult qualified healthcare professionals before making medical decisions. Do not use Sibliny as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or organized in Sibliny.

3. Not HIPAA-Covered

Sibliny is not a covered entity or business associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). The health-related information you enter into Sibliny (such as medication names, appointments, and care notes) is NOT protected by HIPAA. Your information is protected under our Privacy Policy and applicable consumer privacy laws.

4. Medication Reminders

Sibliny provides medication reminders as a convenience tool only. Sibliny:

  • Does NOT verify medication names, doses, or frequency against prescriptions
  • Does NOT check for drug interactions or contraindications
  • Does NOT ensure accuracy of reminder times or dosing information
  • Does NOT prevent medication errors or adverse reactions
  • Does NOT replace consultation with healthcare providers or pharmacists

You are solely responsible for verifying all medication information with your healthcare provider or pharmacist. Do not rely solely on Sibliny reminders. Always verify medications independently before administering them.

5. Emergency Features

Sibliny's emergency calling and alert features are convenience tools only and are NOT a guarantee of emergency response.

Sibliny does NOT guarantee that emergency calls will be completed or routed successfully. Sibliny may experience service outages, network delays, or technical failures. In case of emergency, always call your local emergency number (for example 999 in the UK and Ireland, 911 in the United States and Canada, 000 in Australia, or 112 across the EU) directly using your phone's built-in calling function. Do not rely solely on Sibliny for emergency communications.

Sibliny is not liable for delays, failures, or inability to connect emergency calls, or for any injury, harm, or damages arising from use of the emergency features.

6. Expense Tracking

Sibliny tracks care-related expenses for organizational purposes only. Sibliny does NOT provide tax, financial, or legal advice. Sibliny does NOT verify that expenses qualify for medical deductions, insurance reimbursement, or any other financial benefit. Records in Sibliny are not substitutes for original receipts or professional financial guidance. Consult a qualified tax professional or accountant regarding deductions and reporting requirements.

7. User Responsibilities

By using Sibliny, you agree that:

  • You are at least 16 years of age
  • You have the authority to share care-related information about the care recipient
  • The information you enter is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You will not use Sibliny as a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice
  • You are responsible for verifying all medication, health, and care information independently
  • You will only invite individuals to your care circle who have a legitimate caregiving relationship
  • You will not use Sibliny for any unlawful purpose

When you create a care circle and share health-related information about a care recipient, you represent that you have the legal authority or consent to share that information with the people you invite. If the care recipient is capable of providing consent, you should obtain their agreement before entering their health information into Sibliny.

The person receiving care may be a child. Where the person receiving care is under 16, the account holder must hold parental responsibility for that person before entering their information into Sibliny.

9. Limitation of Liability

Sibliny provides this service "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sibliny shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to:

  • Health outcomes or adverse medical events
  • Medication errors, missed doses, or incorrect dosing
  • Missed or incorrect appointments
  • Emergency response delays or failures
  • Financial losses related to expense tracking
  • Data loss or service interruptions

Our total liability for any claims arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Subscription and Payments

Sibliny offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your app store account — see how to cancel a subscription. Free tier features may change over time.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Sibliny is registered. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
